Sanghoon Lee

President, Korea Energy Agency

Dr. Sanghoon Lee is the president of Korea Energy Agency (KEA), an organization that has been at the forefront of energy demand management and renewable energy supply.
He received a Ph.D. degree in Climate change policy from Sejong University in 2013, a master’s degree in Environmental Planning from the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at Seoul National University in 1999.
He previously worked in People to Green Energy (2000~) and Korean Federation for Environmental Movement (1993~) and also worked as a director at GESI from 2013 to 2018. He was also the vice president of The Korean Society for New and Renewable Energy from 2004 to 2022. Prior to KEA, he was the director of New and Renewable Energy Center of KEA from 2018 to 2021. As of January of 2022, Dr. Sanghoon Lee is leading KEA as the president.
